THE THING I LIKE ABOUT WEIGHT TRAINING
ONCE I REALIZED I DIDN'T HAVE TO GO TO THE GYM TO WEIGHT TRAIN, I got a regular plan going. Don't get me wrong, it's fun to go to the big box and hear the clanking and see all the preening. But, we aren't lifting for entertainment...
... we're going for results.
I get it done with adjustable barbells.
They quickly adjust from 20 lbs to 62.5 lbs, while taking up minimal space. Plus, a kettle bell. And, of course, the pull up bar. Oh, and my stairs.
Wednesdays are my designated day for weights year round. But, this time of year I also "lift" on Fridays, and sometimes on Mondays.
The thing that's great is it really taxes my legs, along with everything else. So, when I go for a ride I'm in no mood to put down the power...
... zone 2 rules the day.
And you know it feels like, doing this for a few months?
It feels like I'm doing a complete overhaul of a race car, down to the paint-stripped frame. Making everything stronger than before.
