I THINK WHEN IT COMES TO RACING, the more you can bring to the race the better.  Could be better wrenching skills, could better on course support, could be a dedication to chess...

... could even be Teddy Roosevelt's autobiography, it's stuffed gritty teaching tales... from boxing with secret servicemen in the White House to frontier justice to liberating Cuba.

Teddy had an approach to apprehending armed criminals, who often possessed great fighting talent.  He noticed they always had a moment of hesitation before pulling the trigger.
