... but, something has changed.
There are lots of racers. We've take over the Winter Park resort.
But, that's not it.
Nobody travels across the country for a race without putting in a lot of time and money and energy. Everybody seems fierce and ready to get after it.
That's not it, either.
I thought maybe it was the thick forest, overwhelming our senses with immense beauty.
Nope.
The thing that is different about MTB racing, from my perspective, is...
... families.
There are just a lot of families here. Many with everybody racing. Some XC, some DH, some Enduro...
... maybe MTB is a more family friendly sport?
Whether or not that's creating the vibe I'm not sure. I just know there is a really down to earth feeling here...
... and it has me fired up for the future.
