SHOULD WE SHIFT GEARS MORE OFTEN?

NOW THAT I'M TRAINING WITH POWER, I find myself shifting gears all the time. Off road, where the terrain is constantly undulating, is when it happens the most and the new SRAM rear derailleur that can be shifted under a load... ... looks like a great upgrade. Being in the right gear makes all the difference in the world. We really see this over time, longer races, where efficiency can put our competitors in our dust, or so far back the dust has settled. Why shift? Efficiency. When to shift? When we are bogging down or spinning out. Apply that everywhere...
