WHY DO PEOPLE LIVE SINGLE SPEED?
SINGLESPEEDING IS A LOT OF FUN. I rode religiously for a while. It's simple, quiet...
... and a heck of a work out.
Your entire body is involved, it takes a lot to keep moving in the same gear. Plus, you develop all kinds of pedal cadences...
... slow grinding to completely spun out.
It's fun, but it's not efficient.
It's not faster.
I was thinking about that today, because today we took a big leap forward in the business.
It wasn't easy.
I resisted it.
A shift.
We'd long outgrown our little warehouse and capacity to ship. It didn't happen in a flash. Over time, we went from our first few online orders per week to per day to per hour...
... to the point of overwhelm.
Now, we've outsourced all shipping to a larger facility. On the one hand, it's a little scary. On the other, it's extremely liberating.
Why do we stay stuck in the same gear sometimes,
when we could easily shift and be much more efficient?
Because in life there is no guarantee that change will be successful. So, we stay stuck...
... slowly grinding, completely spun out.
Is it time to shift gears?
