WHAT'S UP HOMESLICE?
THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF SLICED TIRES... the kind you notice before you ride and the kind that explode on your ride. Which one is better depends on a number of factors:
Neglect tire inspection...
If you enjoy expending emotional energy,
If you like the idea of your tire blowing while you rail a corner,
If you are looking for a good reason to unhitch from a blistering pace.
Check 'em out...
If you dislike any of the above.
If you dislike any of the above.
Today I noticed a decent slice and some other odd wear on my front tire. It's a bummer because that's a brand new tire. The slice was bulging, which means it's only a matter of time until it blows. I could have booted it and ridden it for a long time... come to think of it, I might just yank it outta the trash when I get home.
Check yer tires... nothing is slower than fixing a flat, assuming you're in shape to fix the flat if it blows at high speed in a turn.
