WHAT DOES OFFSEASON MEAN TO YOU?
THERE'S A LOT OF TALK ABOUT THE OFFSEASON, but I am pretty sure we all have a different view of what that means. Does it mean off the bike or off the training regime or...
... off to do something else?
For me, the most important thing is to turn off the rigidity.
If I race,
I wing it.
If I go for a ride,
I wing it.
In other words, take the stress out of the training and monk like living.
Frankly, I think it's good to have many offseasons during the year.
But, do not, under any circumstances, let offseason turn into off-the-diet season.
We are still athletes.
- We want to perform at a high level at all times.
- We want to return to training at our "fighting weight".
