THE REASON I RACE IS SIMPLE.  I lose.  Often.  Sanctioned or underground or racing friends to the city limits...

... I almost always lose.

And, it ticks me off!

A lot.

So, when...

It's way too ffffffreezing and wet
I'm too tired for big miles
I want the damn donut
I loathe pull up bar

... I revel in how much I hate losing, being dropped, failing a personal quest.

Embracing the hate is one way...

... to start winning the battle of the mind.

It's all mental.
