THREE ANALOGIES FOR YOUR TRAINING

THREE ANALOGIES FOR YOUR TRAINING

ONE REASON PEOPLE QUIT, OR FAIL TO PREPARE BEFORE A BIG EVENT, is they don't truly understand how training works.  I have three analogies...

... maybe they'll help someone you know.

  • Training is like baking a cake.  You heat the oven, mix the ingredients, put in a pan, insert into oven... and wait for the heat to do its thing.
  • Training is like archery.  You insert the arrow into the bow, pull back, aim... and let tension to its thing
  • Training is like a bridle.  While we want to do all sorts of random acts of fitness... let the bridle do its thing.

You know I can't leave you without a bonus analogy.

  • Training is like a bridge.  We leave where we are to get where we want to go... and let the bridge do it's thing.

None of that might make a lycra of sense to you, but this might...

... trust your training.
