THINGS YOU DON'T WANT TO DO BEFORE A RACE

IT'S BEEN A BUSY FEW DAYS, and I didn't get everything dialed in last week. Normally, that is the time for perfecting the set up. But...
... sometimes we have to adjust.
At the last second.
Right now...
- new cleats
- rear derailleur
... these are at the top of my list.
Fiddled with them for the last 3 days.
Adjust,
pedal,
adjust,
pedal,
adjust,
pedal.
They're mostly good,
and if they let me down...
... it serves me right.
Then, just now, I was winding down in Buelton, halfway to Sea Otter...
- It's only a flesh wound
- blood all over the place
... I massively stubbed my pinky toe, after dinner.
Mashing it into my race shoes,
cinching down the Boas
fretting on the shifting...
... should keep my festering mind off any perceived leg pain come Friday's race.
