THE SIMPLEST WAY FOR OLYMPIC SPEED

THE SIMPLEST WAY FOR OLYMPIC SPEED

WHEN YOU'RE AN ENDURANCE ATHLETE, when you really know how to dig, scrape and claw... you know truth when you see it.

And, I love this quote from Molly Seidel:

I wasn’t paying attention to the miles or pace and just going off feel and when we made our move I just wanted to keep running the pace I felt good at.

That is truth.

It's why a lot times I'll toss the ol' computer in my back pocket when racing.

And leave it there.

Sure, I like looking at the data when it's all done... but some formats I find it too distracting...

... like any event under 2ish hours.

Who is Molly Seidel?... oh, just the first person who ever ran a marathon and at the same time qualified for the Olympics.

THE OLYMPICS!

That's right...

... just going off feel...

... 'cause it felt good.

Dawgawn... I love that, gotta say it again:

I wasn’t paying attention to the miles or pace and just going off feel.

Going off feel, isn't that the be feeling?

Ever?

I know what you're thinking... musta been a long time ago, before the "modern age".

Nope.

It was Saturday.

2hours27minutes31second.

... just going off feel.

There's another kind of feeling, it's feeling of feedback I get through my hands.
Personally, I prefer very thin gloves.
Real leather.
No padding.
Immense ventilation.
Full fingers.

Yes, I know we should charge a lot more for these.  But, I guess I just want as many people to try them as possible.
