THE CHALLENGE OF ELECTRONIC LIFE

THE CHALLENGE OF ELECTRONIC LIFE

A FRIEND WHO'D I'D BEEN MISSING messaged me to go for a ride today. I had to go early, needed to be in the command chair to goose a few initiatives...

... we planned a meet up.

Hmmm, 'not like him to be late.

I checked my phone.

My shifters aren't working! I think my battery on the lever is dead. So bummed.

Just like that...

  • no catch up with a friend
  • more riding solo
  • plan changed

... a reminder.

Batteries must be charged, or ...

  • brain gets fuzzy
  • emotions swing
  • reactions slow

... we have a good chance of a poor performance.

Or, worse, we miss a chance to ride with a friend.

Here's my hack...

  • check 'em before putting the bike away
  • check 'em again at night while prepping for the ride
  • check 'em one more time before rolling out of the garage

... and get my buns in bed early.

'Cause I prefer to be a creative thinkin', cool cucumber, with lightning reflexes.
