THANKS FOR SOMETHING!

THANKS FOR SOMETHING!

IT'S FRIDAY MORNING, EARLY.  Tomorrow is the big day, what I trained all year for..  It's quiet in the house, and I'm overwhelmed with gratitude...

... for you.

Yes, you, my dear reader.

You have all been so kind and encouraging, helpful, and generous with your time and knowledge.

My original, 20 year goal, of going sub-9 hours seems easily doable.  And the outrageous goal of sub-8 has a glimmer of hope if everything goes perfect.

I'm reminded there are always two lanes to every goal.

  • What we are going for
  • What is our minimum

In between the two is comfortable.

It's so easy to fall back on the minimum and coast in.

Going for the outrageous brings all kinds of dangers.

  • Mechanical
  • Lose control
  • Foul up food
  • etc

But, isn't that where the juiciest part of life lies?  In the outrageous.

And, if we are truly outrageous the minimum can suddenly become a serious challenge.

I'm lifting my bottle to you...

... Here's to being outrageous!

Let's get 'er done.
