and went out and got herself a road bike,
then she invited herself on my trip to Mexico...
... next thing I know, it's permanent.
35 years ago today, the real race started.
Like the Cape Epic, we started with a team of 2. Now we are 8. The course has thrown us all kinds of challenges...
- broken bones
- smashed dreams
- wind from all directions
- weather so extreme we almost quit
Like all epic races, we learn and adapt until all that's left...
... is a better version of ourselves.
I was reminded of that today at a surprise brunch celebration with the entire race team...
