RIDING SLOW IS FOR FOOLS... AND THE OTHER F WORD.
RIDING SLOW IS FOR FOOLS. It's just that simple. Riding slow has no purpose and no place for most riders. In fact, I'd say it's a total and complete waste of time...
... unless you ride fast.
Now, if you're foolish enough to ride really fast or race...
... or push yourself to the point of literally seeing stars
... or to hacking like a smoker the rest of your day
... or limping up and down stairs
... or needing a nap
... then, I hope you are mixing in plenty of slow, easy, restorative rides. The kind where you barely touch the pedals and your heart rate is ticking so low you think the HRM might be busted are the best...
... yes, the pace that looks foolish to all those wise riders constantly pushing 7/10ths of their max...
.. because if you have anything as foolishly fast our Saturday Hour of Power planned you're gonna need some blessed supereasy miles.
Stay foolish...
... and you'll stay foolishly FAST!
Even though we call it the S.H.o.P., it's really about 3 hours with the warm up and cool down.
Which means we'll be needing some sugar and electrolytes.
