RACE PICS?
AN EVENT OF DECENT SIZE and epicness will typically have at a minimum one photographer on course. The goal is to find a spot...
... with great lighting, eye-catching background, individual riders in the main part of the frame.
Usually, they're very good at that.
But, here's the questyun...
... if the pics are that great, why don't we buy more?
Any.
The system is sooooo broken...
- small fuzzy pics with photog logo
- hidden among thousands of participants
- on a crummy app that is slow, with poor navigation
... it's not even worth it to spend 10-30 minutes scrolling.
I know, because that's what I did this morning looking for pics.
Found 1.
Found another.
Page reloaded, lost 'em both.
Sale not made,
no pic for me.
I read a rant about how awful it was to take race pics with photog logo and screenshot for our own use.
It's not cool,
but neither is making us hunt and search.
Life goes fast,
and we're covering a lot of ground.
Amiright?
It's poor practice to whine and not give a solution.
How about this...
- racers who have their number correctly mounted and easy to read
- get their pictures emailed to them
- with an easy link to pay
... we put AI robots to good use.
Bonus points: have the link go to the promoter's website for check out.
