I'D LIKE TO SHARE THE SECRETS I LEARNED TODAY PRE-RIDING BWR CEDAR CITY. Three of my best pals met on course and had a helluva ride. Lots of gravel, lots of vert...
... lots to learn.
Which is why we pre-ride courses.
Whether it's a flat, four-corner crit or a 100+ mile jaunt through the country side...
... pre-riding, in every single instance, means we go faster on race day.
There is no getting around that simple fact.
Locals always have the advantage on their home course. Always. In fact, this might be the one, solitary, unique instance when Strava's silly Local Legend might be of use...
... if you're the Local Legend, or you're going up against that cat, you've got a big chainring up on the rest of us.
Like I said, I'd like to share the secrets I learned today. Just one problem. I missed the trip.
Secret #1 - put the Pre-Ride on the RaceDay Calendar and treat it accordingly, rather than just winging it like I did this weekend.
That's all I've got fer now.
Do you have a RaceDay Calendar yet? Everybody in the PEDALposse has one.
