It would be my first hard ride in months.  Coming off my recent bout with Covid, I felt decently ready...

... afterall, my resting HR was back in the low 40s.

As expected, I struggled when things got hot.  But, it felt good.  Really good.  The base miles I'd been putting in kept me in there for...

The chasing.

Meanwhile, a certain gentleman is riding about as good as I've ever seen. Up on the front most of the day.  Pulling into the bottom of climbs.  Making it over the very punchy walls.

Well... I've been on a few hot dates.

At the other end of the spectrum, was a certain lawyer.  He also drove all the way down.

Who doesn't want to ride 90 miles in the rain with the fastest cats in San Diego?
