LAY(ER) IT ON ME!
25 IN PARK CITY THIS MORNING, per Jeff.
47 in San Clemente this morning, per Todd.
I tell him the humidity makes it colder than it is...
... he laughs at me.
We're both laying it on pretty thick because it's time to layer up.
My ride today when from 47 to 59 inside of 12 minutes. Part of that is geographical, riding from the shaded river bed to the sun-warmed ridge tops. Part of it is just the time of year.
Layer time.
Today was just my kit and a windbreaker. That's what I like when I know the temp change is going to be rapid and drastic.
Other days I roll out with kit, vest and arm warmers. Ditching the arm warmers as thing percolate. Keeping the vest to warm my core.
Next is knee warmers with arm warmers and vest.
The most I typically need in these parts is arm and knee warmers with the windbreaker...
...unless it's in the 30's, then I'll add the vest too... 'cause humidity!
(Jeff goes kit only until sub-45... 'cause stud)
