I'M SOCIAL
IT'S A LOT EASIER chattin' with a stranger when we have our passion in common. Still, a lot of us get shy, or just plain prefer...
... to stay in our own worlds.
We miss out,
when we do that.
This week I had a reader reach out and say Hey, I'll be in Leadville, let's ride.
Never met in real life,
but, Hey, why not?
He brings along a few more cats.
I ask, how do you know these guys and he says...
... I'm social.
Invites me to dinner,
I meet more new people.
One I saw the next day, running down Columbine.
Another pinged me and wanted to talk biz...
... we're gonna do some fun stuff together.
Then, on my spin today in Breck a rider going the opposite direction yells...
.... Hey Todd!
We turn around then start pedaling together.
Remind me your name.
Grant, we rode together at BWR AZ.
Oh, yeah, slaying the last singletrack coming into the finish.
Yep.
You doing Leadville?
No, I live here.
All this friending makes life better.
It's as simple as telling ourselves...
... I'm social.
