I chose neither.

At this point, the burnout is real.

Better to ride something...

  • fun
  • fast
  • friendly

... close to home.

The main goal will be to...

... stay as close as possible to on-the-limit-race-pace.

Why not the other options, they sound harder?

Because, even though Sea Otter is not an A race, it will be very hard and challenging...

... I believe when the training is done, it's time to work on the psyche.

Rides that ...

  • build confidence
  • skill-building
  • not draining

... are best, in the final days of prep.
