HOW TO MAXIMIZE THE RACE CALENDAR
YEAH, IT TAKES MAJOR GUTS TO FILL IN YOUR RACEDAY CALENDAR™. To say I want to do X on this day means...
... you're saying yes to X, and no to everything else.
No cheat days?
None.
No skipping workouts?
Nope.
Can I start in a week?
You started when you woke up this morning, get going.
So, let me give you some ideas on how to fill in the calendar.
- Lead with you 1 or 2, maybe 3, events you really want to crush. Put those in first.
- Block out vacations.
- Block out work trips.
- Add the B and C races, those you want to test yourself and probe your competition.
I know you know how the work trips are going to go down. What the travel and accommodations will be like. Your roll. How to shine at what you do.
And don't tell me you can't visualize laying on the beach with your lover, or whatever you like to do on a vacation. I know y'all start scheming and dreaming early.
Now, work through the month leading up to your A race. Go through it mentally. From prepping your bike, to arriving in race town...
... see yourself on that start line,
ready,
to get what you want.
It's a helluvalot easier to say yes to X and no to everything else now, isn't it?
