FEELING VINDICATED

FEELING VINDICATED

THERE'S NOTHING LIKE A HEAPING DOSE OF CONFIRMATION BIAS TO MAKE ONE FEEL GREAT... am I right?  You know, when you figured out by dumb luck or maybe osmosis or reading some forgotten book and developed a method and preached it...

... and the choir was like, yawn.

But Hotdarnit! Joe Friel has been tweeting about 2 hard days a week.  All week.  Same thing yours Diesel has been hellfire and damnationing for years...

... 2 days, hard.
no more, no less.

Now that I'm writing this and searching my cavernous library of filed wisdom fragments... I think it was the great Eddy B. who said...

... If you're not feeling awesome twice a week, you're doing it wrong!

But in a thick eastoeuroaccent.

Just remember,
what you're reading here is unadulterated Diesel anecdotes...
forced through the mighty cycling echo chamber...
lavished with exquisite confirmation bias from 2 of US cycling's pillars of coaching.

In other words, you might want to try it out if you haven't already.

2 hard days - 72 hours apart
Joe says the rest are mostly recovery
I still like a good tempo day thrown in as well.

Because I do at least half of my rides from the shop, I load my RaceDay Bag™ often.  It just part of my routine, can't imagine doing things the old way.  Wondering if I packed everything, fumbling to find things...

... and I'm guessing a few of you love the bags as much as I do.

So I have a favor to ask...

Would you shoot a video on your phone...

... with your bag...

... answering this question...

... Why do you love your RaceDay Bag™?

Keep it short and sweet.  First thing that comes to mind.  Less than 15 seconds.

Don't worry about the background or looking pro... just an honest to goodness message would be terrific!

All who send me a video will get a little gift of appreciation mailed out.

I'd love to get your videos this week.

I think it will be super fun to see what you come up.

Y'all are awesome!

PS  Confirmation bias is the tendency to search for, interpret, favor, and recall information in a way that confirms or supports one's prior beliefs or values.
