ENTER SANDMAN - GRITTY ADVICE FOR SMOOTH RIDING

February 29, 2020 • TODD BROWN

I RECENTLY SAW A THREAD ASKING HOW TO RIDE SAND SECTIONS AT BWR.  Numerous longworded discussions followed.  Here's my simple truth:

1.  Ride more sand.

Nothing is going to make up for actually riding sand... so if you don't live by a lovely beach, get down to the local play ground...

... practice.

2.  Aim for 10' beyond where the sand ends.

I think it was Moses who said Where there is no vision the people perish.  Whoever shared that ancient advice woulda been a heckuva gravel/mtb racer.  Because if you're looking straight down and not far forward you're gonna perish...

... look where you want to go.

If you just did those 2 things you'd be an ace in no time.

There are two more essential techniques which you'll probably figure out with enough practice.

However, if you want to cut to the chase you'll need to click here:

I HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH TUNNEL VISION

I HAVE TUNNEL VISION.  Is it bad?  I dunno.  Want proof?  I can't find a darn thing, even when it's close enough to kill me.  Is it curable?  I'm not sure...
