HEY, WILL YOU HOLD THIS AT MY CROTCH?  There is just so much wrong with that statement, and to make matters worse it was the boss asking a co-worker to take said delicate measurement.  Yikes!...

... but sometimes when you are a rider you gotta know your inseam.

Which is exactly what this cat needed to know in order to purchase a bicycle from us.

I don't know why, but that got me thinking about other awkward silence sitchyations in our sport...

... the most difficult of all being the silence after this question.

Should we be embarrassed?

I dunno.

I have a friend who just purchased $1300 earbuds.  He's totally into music.
Another told me about her new $1200 snowboard.
One friend works for a place that sells used purses... for upwards of $15k.

Now, my point isn't to justify these purchases or point out any potential irrationalities.   It's simply this...

How much is a good bike?

Not much at all... but a bike that will thrill you for years, take you places you only dreamt of, and bring you back in a state of exquisite bliss... well, those are priceless.
