A LITTLE KNOWN BENEFIT OF ALTITUDE CAMPS
THERE ARE A LOT OF REASONS to go to altitude camps. We've heard, read, watched the uber pros regularly go for weeks at a time and then...
... come back to earth and fly.
Okay.
But, why?
Well, here's one I forgot about,
until I started staying at 11,000' at my sis' in Breck.
We lose weight...
- appetite suppressed
- energy to stay alive
- dehydration
... when living above 10,000'.
Be careful.
Eat, like normal, even if it takes a bit of effort.
Make sure we're peeing normally, or more than normal.
Keep doing the strength we normally do.
If we do that, our bodies are still working harder to stay alive and we'll ideally hang on to the muscle...
... and still shed some flubber.
