HOW TO CURE TRAINING BURNOUT

AFTER TEN WEEKS FOCUSED ON BUILDING BACK SOME FITNESS, I was feeling quite burned out.  We're two weeks away from the Surf N Summit...

... not the time to quit training.

The last few days have been just what the doctor ordered.

  • No agenda
  • No plan or route or group
  • No focussing on the computer readings 

  • Yes, let's explore a new area

Fast, slow, long, short, easy, hard.

Mountain biking is the perfect antidote for me.

It's not what I'll be racing this summer,
or needing for the 120 miles and 16000' of vert of the upcoming challenge.

Just fun and playful.

Still riding.

Still spinning.

Still filling the lungs with air,
and the legs with lactic acid.

But, with some jumps and berms and slides mixed in. 

Burned out?

Change it up.
